"Hi, I'm Allison! I'm a 3rd year medical student in NYC, and I love learning and teaching.

As a medical student who has taken the MCAT (scoring in the 100th percentile), USMLE Step 1 and Step 2, in addition to the countless exams in college and med school, I have plenty of experience studying, and love to share my love for learning as well as studying and test-taking strategies. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rice University, where I studied Biochemistry & Cell Biology. In college, I was a teaching assistant for general chemistry for 3 semesters. In this role, I held weekly office hours for which I prepared review problems and answered questions one-on-one. I had the honor of being the most highly rated general chemistry TA (out of 12). I also tutored students in general chemistry, biology, genetics, and biochemistry through Rice's athletic department and more informally through the residential college system.

In tutoring sessions, I like to identify tangible goals towards which to work, whether it be meeting a certain score on a standardized test, or feeling confident with material that is confusing). I enjoy both going through strategies for learning and test-taking, as well as identifying areas of weakness and reviewing specific material.
