"Hey team! My name is Adam. I'm in my last year of medical school and will be a pathology resident in a few months at the University of Michigan. Before medical school, I completed a bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. I love to tutor and I've had extensive experience. My first tutoring job was more than a decade ago and I've tutored and mentored many different types of students since then. I believe the best tutor is the one you only need a couple of times. My goal is primarily to teach you how to learn independently and help you make the most of your time without a tutor.
During my time in undergrad I spent 3 years tutoring for the University's athletic department. I tutored student athletes in subjects ranging from introductory algebra to organic chemistry. I was selected as tutor of the year by that institution in 2018. I also was tutoring high school students at the same time in math, biology, chemistry, and French.
In medical school, I was the head anatomy tutor and head renal tutor. I also tutored in the musculoskeletal, reproductive, and molecular structures courses. I took an extra year in medical school to function almost as a junior faculty, teaching in the anatomy lab. Last year I gave a 2-hour lecture on the anatomy of the hand to 300 medical students and I've written exam questions for the medical school. Additionally, last summer I scored ~260 on the USMLE step 2 exam and I received interviews from multiple T10 pathology residency programs before matching to my top choice at UofM.
In conclusion, I love to tutor and I look forward to helping you be a successful learner, regardless of your level." less...
