"Hi, my name is Amadu! For as long as I can remember I have found math and science to be beautiful disciplines with many fun and exciting nuggets of knowledge to offer.
I chose to explore my passions of math and science and complete a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at MIT. It is here where I first began to tutor as a teaching assistant for classes like Discrete Math and Software Construction, developing my techniques for connecting theoretical/abstract concepts to applied applications and learning how to assist students in assimilating information by providing valuable and socio-contextual examples.
I further developed my skills of imparting knowledge and supporting technical growth by mentoring developers at Google, where I was a senior software engineer. I led teams of 10-15 people, advising them in software development, architectural development and career development.
My approach to tutoring is student-centered and adaptive, focusing on individual learning styles and goals. I utilize a variety of teaching techniques, from problem-based learning and interactive coding sessions to real-world case studies and industry-relevant examples. By fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, I aim to build my students' confidence and proficiency in Math and Computer Science, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel academically and professionally. Whether preparing for exams, tackling challenging coursework, or aspiring to a career in tech, my students benefit from a personalized, expert-guided learning experience." less...
