"I’m a recent MBA graduate from MIT Sloan in Boston! Before grad school, I spent the past five years in economic consulting at Bates White in DC, where I built data-driven models to quantify damages in litigation. I graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in economics.

I have experience teaching high school and college students about math, stat, and personal finance, including mentoring students in Chicago Public Schools and DC Public Schools. These are the subjects I'm most passionate about, and I really enjoy when a difficult concept "clicks" with a student. When it comes to instruction, I aim to break down complex problems into a series of different parts and work up from there; for example, if I wanted to explain how an airplane flies, I'd start by making sure the student grasps the four forces (lift, gravity, thrust, and drag) before delving into how they all come together.

From an academic background, I've taken many advanced math classes (multivariable calculus, linear algebra), which was a requirement for both my major and the type of work I was doing after college. I've also taken the ACT, GMAT, GRE, LSAT (I had a law school phase), and SAT, and I'm very familiar with the types of "traps" set up in these exams to trick students.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling (40 countries!), running, biking, reading world literature, and photography!
