"Hi I'm Tayeeba! I am a senior (soon to be graduate) at Columbia University majoring in Chemistry and Middle Eastern, South Asian, & African Studies. Tutoring has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember and I cannot wait to work with you to help reach your academic goals!

I have been a tutor for almost 10 years. During high school I tutored in 17 AP subjects that I had personally excelled in, as well as tutoring for students with SAT and PSAT prep. My SAT students typically see an average 100-point increase following one month of sessions, and consistently achieve their target scores. In college, I continue to tutor a wide range of subjects: My high school subjects include history, science, English, Spanish, and Arabic. These days, however, I focus on college prep work with high school students with aspirations to pursue higher education. I assist with college counseling, crafting admissions portfolios, SAT, and PSAT prep. At the college level, I tutor general chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, Arabic, Spanish, and Middle Eastern studies. At Columbia, I have tutored fellow students in chemistry and serve as a Teaching Assistant for language and area studies courses. I’ve also led resume and essay-writing workshops, helping my colleagues refine their writing and presentation skills for future careers. In my free time I tutor youth in underserved communities and volunteer abroad in teaching programs for high schoolers in humanities and STEM subjects.
