"Since the Spring of 2021, I have attained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Rutgers The State University of New Jersey. I enjoy empowering children to believe in themselves as they strive for academic success, make milestones in their personal growth, and reach their goals with fullest potential inside and outside the classroom environment.
I am also a Graduate of The College of Saint Elizabeth and a certified Teacher in Early Childhood/Elementary/ and Special Education. I also have my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Minor in Business Administration. I have over 6 years experience of tutoring grade-school students, college students, and adults, especially on the 1st-grade, 5th-grade, and college level. Specifically, I have helped college students in Mathematics, Writing, English, and prepare for college entrance exams such as the Accuplacer.
I have tutored students across a variety of subjects such as Science, Social Studies, Math, Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, English/Language Arts, and even writing for Public Health courses. I also enjoy helping future teachers become teachers and have tutored students for the ETS Praxis Core and Praxis II exams.
As a former Honors Program student while attending college and a Writing Tutor at my college's tutoring center, each school year I successfully proofread and edited a lot of college student's papers to help them pass their writing courses. As well as, also proofread and edited a lot of my 5th-grade tutoring student's papers during their after school program.
In Math, I have been able to successfully get many of my tutoring students to pass, reach honor roll, and get on the Dean's List by helping them get B's and above in their Math content classes. I know the challenges of what it takes to understand math and am more than well prepared to help students tackle all of the nuances within Mathematics and give them useful long-term strategies to be successful in solving conceptual word problems and math sentences!" less...
