I graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in chemistry, and one year later, with a master's degree in chemistry. During my time as a student, I was fortunate enough to learn from some amazing professors who made the course material enjoyable. I never felt judged or belittled when I asked for more clarification on a topic and I believe this idea is essential for learning and growth. Instead, my questions were welcomed and answered with enthusiasm. I bring this approach to my tutoring lessons as I think everyone deserves to learn in a judgment-free and fun environment.

I have a full year of graduate teaching experience where I helped undergraduate students through introductory analytical chemistry and general chemistry labs I and II. I worked directly with students and taught them relevant theories surrounding the experiments they were conducting. I had individual and group office hour meetings where I further helped students who needed extra support and it was my responsibility to ensure that they felt confident in their own understanding. In addition to chemistry, I also have experience in helping students with algebra, precalculus, as well as Microsoft Excel. I also have extensive research experience and can help with searching for academic sources, better-understanding research papers, and writing scientific papers.
