"I have been a nurse for 17 years and to me, nursing is not my "job", it is truly my passion! I decided to become a nurse after my best friend in high school passed away from Leukemia. It inspired me to want to help people. It was truly one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I love being a nurse!

I have had a few different careers over my 17 years, giving me a wide range of diversity in the field of nursing. My first nursing passion was oncology. I worked inpatient for 5 years on an oncology floor. I then became a school nurse for a school of over 3,000 students. It was a very dynamic job where I was not only handling first aid medical situations, but I was also a case manager for medically fragile students. I obtained my Master's in Education during my time as a school nurse.

A year ago I left being a school nurse to pursue becoming a nurse educator at two local colleges. I have instructed nursing students in community health and health assessment. I am also currently half way through my MSN degree. I love teaching future nurses. I believe the key to student success is to teach based on the individuals learning needs and to motivate the student to help them succeed.

I love science and have always excelled in A & P. I am currently enrolled in Advanced Pathology and I have a 4.0. I believe teaching science should be done to fit the learner's needs. I am so passionate about A & P I am currently teaching my 9 year old all the muscles of the body!

I have a lot of strategies and study tricks to help someone who is struggling in A & P.

I help create nursing exams based off of NCLEX style questions and I also take tests with NCLEX style questions for my current degree program.
