History and Social Studies are genuinely exciting to me, and that is balanced by the satisfaction of knowing I’ve passed that interest on in measurable ways. It is a rewarding challenge to make Social Studies come alive for today’s students and to engage them in a curious and positive learning environment that meets their needs both developmentally and creatively.
I use everything, from my own growing experience (and the wisdom of others) to humor and technology, in order to reach my students and help them succeed. I am proficient in all areas of Social Studies and have extensive years tutoring and teaching. I have taught both middle school and high school classes and can adjust my teaching to the needs of any willing learner!
