"Hello! I am a 52-year-old teacher looking to do online tutoring for students needing assistance in math or English.

I have been teaching for the past 29 years. I started teaching middle school (6-8) for about 10 years and have been teaching junior-senior high (7-12) for almost 20 years. During this time, I have taught a variety of courses in English and mathematics including ELA (grades 6-8), Freshman English (regular and honors), Sophomore English, American Literature, World Literature, Communications, Yearbook Publication, Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra 1. I have also tutored students in Geometry and Algebra 2.

I hold Level II (permanent) certifications in English (7-12), Mathematics (6-9), and Elementary Education (K-6) from the Commonwealth of PA. My BA is in English, and I have 27 credits in English toward my MA degree as well.

I have worked with students of all ability levels and am familiar with IEPs and adaptations. As a teacher during the 2020 Covid pandemic, I became highly adept at both synchronous and asynchronous teaching and learning! I also tutored online for a few years.
