"I am an educator with 8 years of experience in classroom teaching, administration, private school teaching, and trauma-informed education. I started teaching in NYC where I taught 7th grade ELA. I then was an assistant principal intern at a PK-8 school in NYC for a year while completing a second graduate degree. I then moved to a different state and was a 5th grade ELA teacher at a charter school before moving again to my current state. I worked as a paraprofessional temporarily before finding my current job at an alternative school serving grades 7-12. I am trauma informed and trained in Reader’s workshop.
I hold teaching licenses in two states and have multiple licenses in my current state.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in English Education, a Master’s degree in English and an Advanced Certificate in School Building Leadership.
I am able to teach all subjects as needed but pride myself on my ELA, grammar and writing skills. I have completed many essays in college, most notably my Master’s thesis. This thesis was 30+ pages on the juxtapositions and form of argument in Paradise Lose by John Milton. I consider myself an expert in 17th century literature, utopian/dystopian literature and creative writing. I have also successfully tutored students on the PSAT and SAT in all subjects.
Thank you for your consideration.
I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s in English as well as 5+ years of teaching ELA to all grades." less...
