"Hello! My name is Jillian and I am so happy you're taking the time to read my profile. I currently work as a Literacy Tutor and ESL Teacher. Before my current jobs, I taught Preschool for 4 years and helped with homeschooling five different children. I have a great passion for learning and teaching, which is evident in my education and employment backgrounds. I have a B.A in Humanities/Cultural Studies, a B.S in History, a 120Hr TESOL Certificate, and am currently in a continuing education course to help strengthen my skills teaching reading and writing.

I love tutoring because it brings me joy to see people learn. This job is my dream job because it involves education, meeting new people, and gives me a flexible schedule.

I have been teaching ESL for nearly 5 years and before that taught Preschool, in which the very foundations of learning to read and write were given.

I am currently a Literacy tutor, and Phonics is a large part of that.

Not only have I been an avid reader and excellent speller my whole life, I have experience teaching writing and spelling to young children.
