I have always taught. In the classroom, I taught College bound students Physics, Algebra, and Trig. In Junior College, I taught Elementary Statistics. In the medical field, I taught salespeople how to related to customers by providing them the tools to be relevant to a customer and/or prospect. I emphasize that this latter experience was indeed teaching at the most practical level.
Yes, I am an older person, but the lessons I learned, both formally and informally, contain a life-time of experiences that can be conveyed. In addition, formal subjects, like Physics and Math, I have not forgotten. Remembering them is like riding a bicycle; you never forget them if you learned them properly. I did. I can provide prospective students with this same understanding.
My formal and practical background is relevant and useful. Also, I do not emphasize learning facts but do provide a means of learning concepts that are easy to understand for a student to be successful.
