"Goeiedag! Hello! Bonjour! I am a passionate teacher (she/her) from Belgium. My affection for teaching stems from helping my younger sister with her homework. There is nothing more satisfying to me than watching the sparks of understanding lighting up in my students' eyes.

My love for history started in the 4th grade, when I watched a documentary on Egypt. I've been hooked ever since! I have a Bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Egyptology (magna cum laude), a Master's degree in Ancient History (summa cum laude), and a teaching degree specializing in History, Art, and Music (magna cum laude). Since I started teaching in 2012, I've taught a variety of subjects to students age 6 to 60+. I've taught teacher training for elementary school at a college for 3 years. In 2019, I moved to the USA to be with my husband. Since receiving my Green Card in 2020, I've been an author of school books for elementary school and an excited tutor on Wyzant.

My passion for history is what first set my on my teaching path. However, I enjoy helping students learn about a variety of topics. Dutch is my native language. Do you want to learn from someone who's been speaking Dutch her entire life? I'm the woman for the job! I also have a degree for teaching Art History and in an previous job, I used to explain to future teachers how to make Art History fun.
