My name is Connie, and I have over eight years of private and group tutoring experience encompassing dozens of subjects including ESL, foreign languages, writing, grammar, test prep, and career skills. I have worked with students of all age levels and learning abilities including elementary, middle school/junior high, high school, college/university, graduate school, job candidates, working professionals, entrepreneurs, senior corporate executives, medical professionals, and retirees who want to improve their skills, learn new subjects, and expand their horizons.

I graduated from New York University’s Stern School of Business where I obtained a dual degree in International Business and Marketing, with a minor in Journalism and Mass Communication, and a concentration in Entertainment, Media & Technology. With more than a decade in digital marketing, e-commerce, business development, and consulting, I am well-versed in connecting with people from all walks of life.

As the daughter of Taiwanese immigrants, I was born and raised in the United States and grew up speaking Mandarin Chinese at home. I had the unique experience of growing up in seven different states and attending Swiss German schools during my teen years in Switzerland, where I became fluent in German and French.

I returned to the U.S. in 2014 after spending three years in Taiwan, where I tutored students of all ages in English (vocabulary, grammar, conversation, writing, literature), French, German, standardized test prep (SAT, IELTS, TOEFL), literature, history, science, and job application preparation (resume, cover letter, mock interviews).

In addition, I have been certified with Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language proficiency after studying intensive Mandarin at National Taiwan Normal University’s Mandarin Training Center.
