Tutoring has been a great passion in education in my experience because the student(s) has perfect control of his/her learning. All of the student's questions and concerns are specifically tailored for his/her learning and growth.
Since distractions are greatly minimized, the student can flourish and blossom in no time.
There are three important aspects I have learned over the years that have contributed to my being a great tutor. The first aspect is getting to know my student and establish a healthy rapport with the student. This will absolutely foster communication and confidence between the student and tutor. The next aspect is patience and encouragement on behalf of the tutor. This creates an atmosphere of willingness for the student to try and not feel pressured. This is also where the tutor's expertise, skills, and techniques come into play. Finally, as an experienced tutor, I learned that intrinsic rewards as well as putting the student's needs first will result in success and veneration.
