I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese Studies from The Pennsylvania State University, where I focused on both language acquisition and cultural studies, earning a GPA of 3.5. I also achieved the N1 Level Certification in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), demonstrating my mastery of the language. Additionally, I participated in a 3-month exchange program in Japan through Penn State, where I passed the language ability test and joined the most advanced-level class to study Japanese language and literature in-depth. This immersive experience greatly enhanced both my language skills and cultural understanding. Along with Japanese, my first language is Chinese, giving me a solid foundation in both languages.

I have extensive experience in self-studying languages and apply these techniques to my tutoring. I’ve been involved in informal tutoring, assisting college students and adults by breaking down complex grammar structures and facilitating conversations to improve fluency.
