"Hello! I'm Stephanie. I received my BA in Chemistry from the University of South Florida and my Doctor of Pharmacy from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. After college, I completed a Pharmacy Practice residency in Bethesda, MD and have had an active critical care pharmacy practice in Baltimore, MD since 2009. I've always done well and enjoyed school and this has led to a love of teaching. I find it very rewarding to see something click across the table or the screen when a student finally understands the concept. I believe in the Socratic (or questioning) method of teaching in order to find where the student current knowledge starts then build bridges with bringing in new concepts until we get to the final answer. I also enjoy pulling other types of learning strategies (visual, auditory, etc) to engage the student on many levels. For lessons plans, I like to see examples of the students current work and where they are struggling. I reinforce homework, add new questions and examples, and allow time for the student to read and digest the material on their own.

My main teaching interests are pharmacology and calculations. I believe all of these subjects are foundational for success and I enjoy tutoring in them one on one." less...
