"Hello, I am Laetitia, I am a French and Italian native. I have a bachelor’s degree from the Université de Nice Côte d’Azur and a Masters in French from Montclair State University.

I have been teaching and tutoring in French and Italian for over 25 years and I have taught all levels and all ages, from young children to adults and within the legal and medical fields. Thanks to my extensive experience I can well prepare my students to achieve their goals. Moreover, with my experience with teaching in high schools for over 20 years, I can also prepare my students to succeed in their AP French and Italian exams.

In my lessons, I always include information on the culture of the country the language comes from, because I believe that it is very important to understand the background of the culture so you can have a solid foundation on the learning of the language. I enjoy traveling and throughout my different trips, I realized how important it is for language learners to know not only the language but also to have some knowledge of the art, music, and literature of a country so you can have context on how words and phrases are interpreted within the lessons and in actual conversation.

I love teaching and my biggest reward is to see my students becoming confident in the French and /or Italian language. I build my lessons by using the 4 basic language skills which are writing, reading, speaking and listening. I believe that those skills are the base of improving understanding and conversation.

As a tutor, I always understand that each of my students are unique and learn in different levels, so I make sure that each of them will have an individualized lesson plan, so they can take full advantage of the time spent learning.
