"Bonjour! My name is Alain and here's why I think I could help you with the French language! I was born in Lille, a city in northern France, I attended the University of Paris IV, where I obtained a Master's degree, and my main subjects were French Literature, Classics (Latin and Greek), Philosophy, and Sociology. Already when I was a student I would sometimes help or tutor foreign students who needed to improve their French. I started teaching French in the US as a High School exchange teacher with an international cultural exchange organization. I was helping the teacher in charge, especially with oral French and pronunciation, and tutoring struggling students one-on-one. After that, I held teaching positions in US colleges and, wanting to use teaching French as a way to travel and see the world, I also obtained teaching positions in Asia. In these positions I made myself available for homework help and occasionally tutored a small group or an individual student. So my experience is with the age group of high school and college, in a classroom setting and in tutoring sessions. I also sometimes give private lessons or just conversation practice to older adults.

I always want the students I tutor to make progress, so always try my best to this end.
