"I have completed a Master of Education in TESOL (USA); Certified IELTS trainer (British Council); 10 years teaching EFL and ESL in China and Malaysia. I apply that knowledge and experience to support the goals of those I tutor.

Teaching speaking and pronunciation are my favorite, although the other skills can be fun, too. I taught IELTS prep course for several years in a China where I had more than 4,000 different students. I later worked at an international school followed by teaching Academic English at Malaysia's top private University.

I specialize in working with young adults, most preparing for bachelor and master degree programs. I have also taught business communication skills courses to university staff, a team at Malaysia National News Agency, and several management teams at a well-known electronics company.

A teaching focus on a specific skills or grammar structure can be a bit dry. Therefore, I prefer to teach a language as learners focus on content. This way, lessons are more interesting and they can learn more than just the language! Plus, research proves that it is the most effective way of acquiring language skills.
