"Hello! My name is Pema; I am currently a high school special education teacher. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in English and I have a master of arts in middle/high school special education. I was always someone who liked to learn and help those who didn't understand what was going on as well. I always enjoyed being with the teachers who were most willing to go the extra mile to clarify and/or help me out whenever I needed it. I try to bring this into my tutoring style as well as in my classroom. By the end of the lesson, I want to ensure that the students get enough time to practice and grasp the material at hand so that they can be successful.

I have experience tutoring students from 3rd-12th grades. I have worked directly with middle schoolers the most, having tutored them the most in math and ELA. I also have experience tutoring students in history and have helped with prepping them for the NYS history regents.
