"Hello! My name is Nicholas R. I am set to graduate this May 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. While at Wesleyan University I worked four years at Cross Street Tutoring where I helped students with their homework, exam preparation and extracurriculars. Additionally I worked as a freelance tutor helping high school students pass their finals and Regents exams during the summers. I am also currently an academic peer advisor which allows me to help peer students across all areas of their academic studies.

During my four years of college I received the Arthur Ashe Academic Award for achieving academic excellence and competing as a student-athlete. I was named on the Dean's list several semesters, and achieved All-NESCAC academics honors for maintaining a certain grade point average across all the colleges/universities in the conference. Lastly, I am currently eligible and competing for the Clendeninn Prize this year. which is awarded to the African American student who has achieved academic excellence in biology and/or molecular biology and biochemistry.

Through all of my years of schooling I truly have learned to appreciate the art of teaching. My outlook and approach is understanding that every individual is different, therefore their path to academic success is going to be unique. Creating an individualized and personalized learning experience is my goal, and my work experience has allowed me to better understand and apply various forms of learning styles.

I have performed very well in mathematics courses, and am have experience tutoring any of the high school math regents exams.

I am a pre-med student, so I have taken and excelled in all of the introductory science courses. In addition I graduated high school from the medical science program exemplifying the science concentration, and I majored in Biology in college.
