"Hi! My name is Gabriela. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Northwestern University in Political Science. I grew up speaking Spanish with my Cuban family and continued to sharpen my language skills during a semester-long exchange at one of the top universities in South America: Pontificia Católica Universidad de Chile in Santiago de Chile, Chile. I began studying German at Northwestern University, and later took classes in Leipzig and Radolfzell, Germany, where I perfected my accent. I have been told on numerous occasions that I have a native German accent.

I help students to build their confidence in learning the language by adapting to their learning styles and by my personable and encouraging approach. I love sharing my passion for language with others for their personal or professional needs.

I started playing piano at the age of 6. I attended the Interlochen Music Academy Summer Program and graduated from the Chicago Merit School of Music Conservatory in 2013. I am trained in classical piano.
