"I'm Amiya, a current undergraduate student at Northwestern University studying Organizational Change in our School of Education and Social Policy. I am also pursuing a second major in Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies.

I have two years of experience in tutoring for English and essay writing as both a volunteer and paid tutor. I believe that every student has the ability to write thoughtful and engaging essays, so I like to emphasize collaborative guidance. I will not tell students the answer or what to write, but instead guide them through the thinking needed to effectively communicate. I believe that the most important part of education is being able to engage with texts and critically respond, and I will guide students through this.

As the student coach of my high school's mock trial team, I have several years of experience in teaching public speaking. I currently compete on the collegiate model UN circuit and work as a theatre instructor, so I am happy to coach students on any kind of public speaking they need to prepare for!

I also have several years of experience with college essay writing and editing, and I have helped students get into dozens of schools through this. College essays are a place where students get to tell their unique story while showing off their ability to write. I love working with students to help showcase the best versions of themselves.
