"I am an R.N. with a B.S.N. from SCSU and a masters in Health Promotion from UConn. I have been privileged to be employed as an adjunct nursing and science professor at NVCC, Sacred Heart University, Goodwin University, and a medical assisting and science educator for many years at St. Vincent’ College. I have experience teaching human biology, anatomy and physiology, and human diseases to students majoring in nursing, radiography, medical assisting, and hospital coding. I am sensitive to the unique learning styles of today’s learners and continually adjust teaching methods as needed.
Outside the classroom, I have tutored students for many years primarily in the health care subjects of nursing, and science and I have also tutored students for math. I love math and enjoy helping students in particular who have math anxiety. I like to help each student to reach his/her potential. I believe I have made a difference and continue to do so, one student at a time. My approach is to simplify the information and guide students into understanding as well as applying the information as opposed to memorizing the material.
