"I completed my associates degree in occupational therapy with honors and am an experienced occupational therapy assistant of 20 years. I graduated with my bachelors degree from the University of Texas in 2021 with a 4.0 GPA in applied science. I'm currently an occupational therapy doctoral student at Baylor University with straight-A's and a 3.97 GPA. I am completing teaching capstones with the university and my OTD program. I have been a fieldwork educator for over 10 years as well. I have 20 years of hands-on, professional experience with adults in acute care, outpatient rehab, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and telehealth settings. My most recent experience is working with children and youth populations in outpatient, home health, and telehealth settings. My didactic coursework was focused on neuroscience, anatomy and physiology, scholarly writing, research, foundations in occupational therapy, theory, assessments, interventions, inter/intraprofessional collaborations, adult/older adult populations, children and youth populations, mental health, range of motion, manual muscle testing, fieldwork experience, and more.
I am interested in tutoring occupational therapy assistant and occupational therapy students with any educational needs. I am willing to help all undergrad student so please don't hesitate to reach out even if your major isn't OT. I am passionate about and love helping students improve their learning and be successful in their education through college applications, study methods and habits, understanding and applying concepts, time management skills, and testing strategies. I love to help students identify areas of weakness and then focus on specific content to improve learning and application of concepts rather than memorization. In my experience, this helps greatly with preparing for finals and the NBCOT exam. I greatly look forward to equipping students with the tools they need to be successful in their didactic and fieldwork education. Who's ready to get started? :)" less...
