"I have a wide range of knowledge in all areas of Cosmetology ranging from; nail care, hair cutting/styling, chemical treatments, hair restoration. I have over 15 years experience in the Cosmetology Industry starting as a stylist, then I transitioned to salon management and currently instructor. I continue to educate myself by continuously attending workshops and conferences to stay current with beauty trends; as well as classes pertaining to education development.

I have a deep passion for teaching. To be able to share my knowledge and experiences in the Cosmetology Industry is very rewarding. When it comes to teaching I incorporate multiple learning styles to ensure every learner is receiving/comprehending the lesson being taught; since not every student receives/comprehends the same way. For example, there are three ways we as learners like to receive information. That is using V.A.K.Learning styles (Visual, Auditory, or Kinesthetic Learning). During my lesson I use V.A.K. Learning by communicating the lesson and discussions, having visuals (pictures, power-points, demo,etc), and lastly incorporating hands-on experience. This tool helps with keeping the attention of the learning as well. I also like to make learning fun by using games or projects to reinforce/review what the student has learned. I am very patient and will work with a student until he/she gets it. To ensure you are grasping what you are learning by having the student paraphrase, demonstrate, or quiz them on the lesson being taught.
