"Hi! I'm Mia! I am a current Osteopathic Medicine Student at Rowan Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine. I graduated magna cum laude from Saint Joseph's University, where I majored in Chemical Biology and minored in Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychology. I achieved high marks in all of my science classes including general chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, neuroscience, microbiology, physics, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. During my high school career, I took many AP courses in high school with 4s and 5s earned including Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, and more. I was just accepted into medical school, so I am well tuned to all subjects within the MCAT.
Additionally, I have four years experience as substitute teaching in a local pre-k- 8 school district. Also, I have three years experience volunteering tutoring adolescent students in math and English during my undergraduate education. In these experiences, I have learned the importance of creating individual plans for each student as every student learns differently and may need different resources and support.
