I have over 20 years of homeschool experience with my own children as well as teaching in a variety of home school co-ops. I have taught high school chemistry, biology, physical science, general science, literature/writing, as well as several elementary aged classes. My favorite subject to teach in the homeschool environment is phonics and reading. My mother-in-law always told my girls, "If you can learn to read, you can learn anything." I had a very systematic phonics approach with my 3 daughters, and they were incredibly successful at learning to read well.
