Now, I tutor high school algebra and geometry for a non-profit organization called Mustang Math in my spare time. Thus, my teaching experience has been largely via volunteer one-on-one tutoring for middle to high school students.
I find teaching by example and application problems the most effective, but I also try my hardest to provide personalized approached dependent on the specialties of each student. Especially when teaching math, I introduce the concept and methodology first, before allowing students to try problems on their own under my guidance.
