"Hello! My name is Kayla. I am currently a Phase 1 Oncology clinical data coordinator, and I love tutoring (especially Organic Chemistry 1 & 2) on my free time. I received my Bachelor of Science with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. My undergraduate career had a focus towards pre-medical studies and I graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. Throughout college I was a tutor and teaching assistant for those students struggling in the various science courses. I also recently got into medical school and can certainly help with applications/advice/MCAT prep.

In addition to being very involved in academics, I was also a four-year student-athlete, and had the privilege of playing field hockey at the Division 1 level. The combination of being a student, tutor and an athlete has taught me a great deal about discipline, passion, and time management. My ultimate goal is to attend medical school and I believe that taking a couple of gap years would be beneficial in rounding me out. I believe that by teaching others, I can learn even more myself!

My science GPA for undergrad was a 3.9. I attribute my success to my study methods, note taking, subject comprehension, and test prep skills. Like any skill, being a successful student takes a lot practice. Over the years I have crafted methods towards success in my subjects, and would love to be able to share these methods those students who need help. I specifically specialize in Chemistry and Biology, as I tutored private sessions, group sessions, and aided the professor in course content creation.
