"I recently graduated from the University of Michigan with a Cellular and Molecular Biomedical Science degree. I am a current medical student at Wayne State School of Medicine. I tutored Organic Chemistry 1 and Biology at the University of Michigan for nearly 3 years. I have done both private tutoring for students and tutoring through U of M's Science Learning Center for students with extenuating circumstances. This has given me experience tutoring students from a variety of backgrounds. I understand what it feels like to be completely lost and falling behind in a chemistry class, and that is why I love tutoring chemistry. I received an A in both Organic Chemistry 1 and Bio 171/172 at the University of Michigan and have been tutoring ever since. To date, I have accumulated over 300 hours of tutoring. Nearly all of my sessions have been conducted in a one-on-one setting which has been significant in developing the skills to simplify complicated topics into more digestible bits of information. I also tutored both of my sisters in organic chemistry which has been one of my greatest tutoring challenges to date, but we made it through! Not only have I been able to develop my skills with content explanation, but I have developed effective study plans that aim to progressively master material to help limit pre-exam stress.
