Organic chemistry is unique in the way that first principles build on each other throughout the course. I am an expert at breaking chemistry down into fundamental concepts so that students I work with can spend less time memorizing, and more time understanding. I also have a repertoire of "tricks" for challenging topics such as stereochemistry, which can make the material much easier!" less...

Rating and Reviews
"Extremely Patient and Knowledgeable"
Matthew is a extremely patient and knowledgeable teacher. He knew exactly what to stress from class and the material that would be the most relevant for exams. His additional practice problems were very helpful and was he willing to go through material as many times as I needed.
"Discussed with me at length until I understood the topics"
Matt tutored me for both Organic Chemistry I and II. His lessons were incredibly effective. My Organic Chemistry professor is known as a very challenging Orgo professor at my school and any difficult concepts and questions that I would bring to Matt, he researched efficiently, and discussed with me at length until I understood the topics. He took the time to meet with me when it was good for my schedule, even if it was at inconvenient hours like late evening during the weekends, etc. Whether it was working at difficult practice problems my professor would assign, practice test questions, textbook problems, or simply deciphering the terminology of Organic Chemistry, Matt was a huge help and helped me develop my passion for Organic Chemistry!
"Matt is the reason I got an A in Organic Chemistry"
He is very patient and explains concepts very clearly. I found him to be an extremely approachable tutor, always willing to teach and reteach any topic I needed help with. Matt is the reason I got an A in Organic Chemistry II. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an organic chemistry tutor - he is the best!
