"With a degree in Data Science from Oxford (final grade merit) and a degree in Data Theory from UCLA (3.95 GPA) I enjoy all things related to data science and analysis! I offer tutoring in a range of subjects, both at the high school and university level.
I began tutoring during community college, where I worked as a student tutor for individuals aged 17-30. I met with students weekly to assist with Statistics, Calculus, and Linear Algebra assignments. Additionally, I held study sessions before exams. My approach involved creating outlines of essential material, helping students understand these outlines, and then applying the outline by working through practical examples.
After transferring to UCLA, I focused on leading study groups instead of tutoring. These sessions followed a similar structure to my previous tutoring experience. I first simplified lecture notes into one-page summaries. Then, with my classmates, I worked through example problems using the summary as a guide.
For high-school courses, I provide tutoring in all math-related subjects, including Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Calculus, and SAT Math. At the university level, I specialize in courses like Real Analysis, Machine Learning, Probability, and Coding (Python, R, or C++).
I believe that patience is key to mastering these challenging topics. I remember how confusing and overwhelming these subjects felt when I first saw them, but through the support of my classmates and my own tutors, I was able to overcome those challenges. Now, I strive to instill the same confidence and understanding in my students so that they can master their assignments and exams!" less...
