"I have worked in the legal industry since 2012 after graduating with my BA in Legal Studies from Hamline University in St. Paul Minnesota. During my undergraduate, I focused on intense legal research and writing and was formally recognized by my Professors and awarded for the best legal article of the year.
During this time as well I worked with Veterans to learn music and playing guitar through a program called "Guitars for Vets," which I thoroughly enjoyed. The ages of the participants in that program varied quite broadly as we had all ages from younger veterans returning from recent service to veterans who had been out of the military since Vietnam and even Korea! It was through this program where I developed a fondness for teaching and instructing others in learning new skills.
Currently I work in a law office in the practice of insurance defense litigation. My desire to mentor and teach is alive and well professionally at the office as well, as I strive to make myself available to all of my team because I have a great level of experience. Some of my strongest skills and focus areas are definitely my ability to relate to all types of individuals and to help them grow and aspire to more on their own. This is a primary reason I believe I could work as a tutor with other people outside of the office and utilize those skills (and others) to accomplish more for a greater number of people!" less...
