"I've always been captivated by the mysteries of nature, sparked by the telescope my mother gave me and the electronic toys my father brought home. This early exposure nurtured my fascination with science, focusing on Physics and Mathematics in my teenage years. I pursued a bachelor’s degree in both at Ithaca College, where I discovered a passion for teaching through my involvement in the Physics Tutoring Club. Helping freshmen grasp challenging concepts honed my teaching skills and made me realize how rewarding it is to guide students toward success. By my senior year, mentoring several students solidified my desire to pursue a career in teaching and research.
My passion for Physics led me to pursue a PhD at Cornell, where I worked as a Teaching Assistant, teaching lab and recitation sections for undergraduates. This role developed my group and individual teaching abilities, while my research on the origin of the universe deepened my understanding of complex topics and improved my communication of them. After earning my PhD, I joined Cornell University as a postdoctoral researcher and enhanced my teaching through innovative methods like peer learning. During the pandemic, I began offering 1-on-1 online tutoring, focusing on interactive and patient sessions tailored to individual needs. Though I now hold a full-time research position, I miss teaching undergraduates. I’m passionate about helping students succeed in courses like Mechanics,Electricity & Magnetism Optics, Thermal Physics, Modern Physics, Solid State Physics, Numerical Analysis,Quantum Mechanics, and AP Physics. My goal is to inspire students to see the beauty in Physics and Mathematics while helping them build the skills and confidence to thrive." less...
