"I am an Ecology and Evolutionary Biologist currently working as a professor at a small university in Connecticut. Teaching Biology is truly my passion, and I am ready and excited to help you learn everything from cell biology to zoology. The most rewarding experiences I have had in my career have been working with students 1-on-1, and my greatest skill in life is my ability to help my students break down and understand difficult scientific concepts. I am not intimidating and very easy to talk to.
I’ve been tutoring and teaching biology for many years. Prior to working as a professor, I spent a few years as a TA for various biology labs, and I currently teach a multitude of biology courses ranging from Introductory to Advanced (and even Graduate-level). I am also prepared to teach any of the information included in any AP or regular High School biology course.
As a student, I excelled at taking exams, and I now write them. I am very familiar with their content and I also can help you to build your study and exam-taking skills! I have also published multiple scientific journal articles, and I can assist you in understanding Biology research as well as building your skills in scientific writing.
I believe that true understanding is more useful than pure memorization—and true understanding can help you to get more answers correct on your assignments and exams. I look forward to meeting new students, and sharing my passion for our wonderful biological world!" less...
