"I'm Lia! I graduated with my degree in Higher Education Administration in 2018 and have worked full-time in Higher Education for 6+years! In my work in both Higher Ed and K-12 settings, I have seen people struggle from every background to navigate the college application process. I started writing diversity education curricula and guiding students of color from the undergraduate space through their first 4 years of college into their graduate degree programs. I shifted to then work with First-Generation college students and their families navigating the application and scholarship process and teaching a first-year college course. I now work full-time teaching classes about how to apply to college and helping students and their families apply for college and federal aid and scholarships. The application process can be long and frustrating, but it doesn't have to be! Things change quickly in college admissions, and you need someone in your corner guiding you and who has dedicated time to make YOU their top priority.
A few of the things I can help you with are your: College List creation, Personal Essay support and feedback, Common Application support and feedback, Supplemental (your specific school essays) feedback, Essay support and feedback, Scholarship Application support and feedback, Activity Section Draft support and feedback, Resume support and feedback, Financial Aid Strategy & Application support. So schedule a lesson! Tell me your dreams, hopes, and fears, and allow me to show you what’s possible from the comfort of your home." less...
