"I obtained my Master's degree in Adolescent English Education from Hunter College, where I took classes specializing in working with students one-on-one and in small groups on their reading and writing skills. I believe that reading and writing is a powerful way that we can connect with the world and express ourselves and my passion for this subject is what inspired me to help students find their voice!
During my Master’s program, I participated in three different high school ELA classroom communities. This includes my student teaching experience, which has given me invaluable experience in learning how to tutor students one-on-one of varying skill levels. This work has involved differentiating lessons for student needs and tailoring lessons daily in order to ensure student learning is appropriately scaffolded.
