"I'm a Houstonian and a cum laude graduate with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. I developed my interest in solving equations when I was in elementary school, and that interest only grew once I entered my 8th-grade algebra class. Because I have worked in math for some years, I understand how much work is required to study such a subject.
After my first two years in college, my school’s tutoring center offered me a position to work for them. I accepted, and it was the best decision I ever made. I fell in love with tutoring during the next two years in college, helping fellow students succeed in their courses and bonding with them in the process. I even tutored during the summers in between, including the summer after my graduation.
My expertise is in algebra 1 and 2, geometry, pre-calculus, and calculus 1. I can also tutor SAT and ACT prep. I wish to help the student understand what each problem is asking for and how to approach a solution. I explain the problem-solving methods and show them and then let the student apply the techniques for themselves.
I will be willing to travel around to specific locations in Houston, Missouri City, and Stafford. For Houston, areas include Memorial, Spring Branch, River Oaks, West University, and Bellaire.
If you need help, I'm happy to provide my services! I look forward to hearing from you!
