"Hello, my name is Rumi. Originally from China, I have been living in the U.S. for almost nine years. I am a native speaker of Mandarin and fluent in English. As a violinist, music teacher, and passionate linguist, I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in Music and Arts with a minor in Pedagogy. Additionally, I hold a teaching assistantship at my school.

I hold several degrees and certifications that have shaped my academic and professional journey. I have achieved high test scores and received numerous honors and awards in music and teaching. I have played in professional orchestras and won international competitions.

With seven years of teaching experience, I have worked with students ranging from six-year-old children to adults. While I specialize in one-on-one lessons, I also have experience teaching group lessons at summer camps in past years. My goal is to foster a love of music and language in all my students.

I have extensive experience tutoring elementary Chinese domain students in their writing and helping foreign beginners to fluent speakers improve their pronunciation.
