"I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education from Baldwin Wallace University, with certifications in Pre-K through 3rd grade, as well as a 4th/5th grade endorsement. Over the past three years, I’ve gained formal teaching experience across various elementary grade levels, primarily in preschool and kindergarten, as well as in 5th-grade math and intervention. Additionally, I’ve worked as a guest teacher in grades Preschool through 5th, which has given me a broad understanding of different developmental stages and educational needs.
My teaching approach focuses on fostering a positive and engaging learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate and take ownership of their learning. I incorporate proven methods like Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to tailor academic and behavioral interventions to students’ needs. Additionally, I have experience with specific instructional tools and curricula, such as DIBELS for literacy progress monitoring and Orton-Gillingham techniques for reading instruction, particularly with younger students. I believe that connecting with each student individually is key to their success, and I aim to build strong, supportive relationships with my students.
Having taught in both classroom and one-on-one settings, I understand the importance of flexibility and creativity in my teaching style. My experience ranges from managing whole-class instruction to providing targeted interventions for small groups and individual students. I look forward to bringing my passion for education, along with a caring, personalized approach, to help students meet their learning goals in a tutoring setting." less...
