"I have a Masters in Political Science and a P.h.D. In History from Miami University, where I taught for many years. Although I am retired, I am a lifelong learner and teacher and my passion lies in turning students on to history using narratives of people, places, and events from the past.

My dissertation, “Mullet, Mangoes, and Midwives: Gender and Community in a West Coast Florida Fishing Village” relied heavily on anthropologies theory and methods, esp. ethnography."
