"I am currently a High School Social Studies Teacher. I have over 8 years of teaching experience. I received an MS in Adolescent education in May of 2015 and have my NY State Teaching Certification. I graduated from Fordham University in 2006 with a B.S. in Business Administration and Management, and a minor in History. If you are looking for someone to help your child with content, reading, and writing, I am well versed in all three skills. My specialty is European History from Ancient times to the Middle Ages, however I am well versed in all history subjects, including World Religions, US History, Geography, and US Government. My first language is English, however I am moderately proficient in Greek and can understand some Spanish.

If you are looking for someone who is passionate about history and can talk about it for hours then I am the tutor for you. For me it is a living subject, not old stories passed down through the ages. Many students struggle with history because of the way it is taught in public schools. It is compartmentalized as a set of dates and rarely do they show how everything is connected. However, if one really looks into the past we can see how connected everything was and still is; even events that happened hundreds of years ago can still affect our lives today.
