"I was born and raised in Colombia. I began working in education in my country. I started working as an elementary teacher before I had finished my studies to become a graduated Spanish/English teacher. I worked as a teacher in Colombia until I graduated in Psychology. After I graduated I came to live in the USA. Since then, I worked in a charter school teaching early childhood for two years and, at Houston ISD, teaching grades K-3 for eighteen and a half years. I have a bachelor's degree in Education, a master's degree in Education and, I am a Texas EC-4 Certified Teacher.

I have gained all my teaching experience in classroom settings but that includes one to one and small groups instruction.

For my tutoring sessions I personalize lessons to fit students learning styles and needs. I use differentiation assigning activities and tasks based on students abilities. I include interactive tools, critical thinking, positive reinforcement and continuous feedback.
