"Hi! I’m Austin. A little bit about me—I’m a student at Vanderbilt University double majoring in Spanish and Piano Performance with a minor in Business. I am kind, calm, patient, and I would love to help your son or daughter with Spanish.

Here is a little bit about my experience with Spanish in school. I’ve been learning Spanish for more than ten years, but my love for the language launched in 8th grade when I was named Spanish Student of the Year. I continued to study the language in high school and in 11th grade, I attended the three-week Spanish immersion program held at Washington and Lee University. My last year of high school, I was named Co-President of the Spanish Honor Society. Currently, I am taking my second Spanish class at Vanderbilt University, titled "Spanish in Business and the Global Economy" (SPAN 3345).

As a student tutor, I know the challenges that your son or daughter faces. Trust me--I've been there. And as a student tutor, I have the unique perspective of a Spanish student, so I can help your son or daughter overcome struggles that Spanish teachers may not understand. I want to help your son or daughter learn Spanish in a practical way that teaches them how to use the language efficiently and effectively.

Why did I choose to teach Spanish? Throughout my life, I've spent countless hours using the language around native speakers in my hometown, in addition to living in Spain for more than a month. I can tell you from experience that speaking the language will bring your son or daughter a deeper sense of connection with people and a sense of fulfillment.
