"With over 25 years of teaching, training, consulting, and management experience, Joy is a woman who works passionately to improve the quality of teaching, learning and development, and organizational, supervisory, leadership development for the adult and youth learners in the educational and business sectors. She is a Bay Area/ Silicon Valley native, that relocated to "The Gold Country", who provides collaborative coaching, brain-friendly experiential facilitation, teaching, training, and organizational development programs for organizations internationally. Joy enjoys working collaboratively with students and colleagues.

Joy holds an M.Ed in Education, an MBA in Leadership (Org. Psych) and a B.S. in Human Development, with a Minor in Ethnic Studies. She has published two children's books addressing decision-making and unconditional love. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, the outdoors, audio books, and travel. In her spare time, Joy challenges herself to do something new every year. She has a tradition of volunteering in Guatemala with Habitat for Humanity, and recently served four years on the Ames Child Care Center Board of Directors.

A tutoring position will require, among other things, a strong combination of teaching, classroom management skills and curriculum development experience. It will also require a strong ability to effectively communicate, plan and collaborate with staff & students.
