"Hello,
We can do it together!
When I was a student, I loved math. It is my favorite subject. I learned it from books, teachers and professors. I also worked and tried many activities and figured out many problems. All that mix gave me the opportunity to see the beauty of math and enjoy the elegance in advanced and abstract parts of math.
I have a master degree in math.
When I work with student, I guide. I ask questions. I am looking for the “Aha!” moment. It is when the student gets it and makes the discovery. The student answers help to see what is missing and I help student to learn what is missing. I help fix misconceptions. I also help student identify weaknesses and fix them.
I help student learn geometry. We work on identifying objects, understanding definitions and using them to relate properties of geometric figures. We can use visual approach, observation and hands on to figure out what the answer should be. I guide students to find answers and write proofs. I help also with deriving and using formulas for perimeter, area and volume. By creating connection between formulas, we create a visual image for student to remember and retrieve necessary information.
I enjoy solving problems and helping students that are interested in math. I like to draw a picture of a problem, make a diagram or act the problem. We can draw a table or make a graph.
"I do, we do, you do" is one way I can help you learn. You learn to ask yourself the important questions and decode the problem. I can help you become independent learner.
We can do it together! This is your chance to start working better and become an excellent student.
