I specialize in math and computer programming and am starting a job as a full-stack developer, so if you need help in Java/SQL/REACT, I can help. I am also proficient in Python and data science.
I have a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Houston, a minor in chemistry, and a former education major. I am also about a third of the way to a PhD should I ever want to return to graduate school. Given my current career trajectory, if I ever do go back, it will be for a computer science-related field, so I'd have to start back at square one.
All that said, I was terrible at math and science in high school, and there were times I'd rather have my teeth pulled out with rusty pliers than go to Algebra or Geometry, but for some reason, that all changed in college. I actually started to enjoy STEM subjects and am passionate about helping students try to see how fun it can be.
I am most comfortable teaching math (algebra, algebra II, precalculus, calculus 1 and 2, and stats), science (biology, chemistry [no orgo], and physics), and computer science/programming (Python, Java, SQL, Data Science, and Machine Learning). I can also help with the math/science sections of the SAT, ACT, and GRE tests.
In my free time, I enjoy gaming (right now, all I have time for is my weekly D&D campaign). I'll try to watch the Texans when I have a free Sunday afternoon, but it can sometimes be too disheartening. I am also writing a novelization of my D&D character." less...
